warm & sour red lentil soup
3 tbsp oil
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 cup of dried red lentils, soaked in warm water
2 cloves of garlic
6 cups of vegetable broth
1 can of tomato paste
1 sweet potato, cubed
1 zucchini, diced into sticks
1 tbsp cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp curry powder
a significant* amount of cinnamon (accidentally spilling a pile into the soup had pleasant results)
salt & pepper to taste
